A Girls trip to Galveston!

This last weekend we had ourselves a GIRLS ONLY trip to Galveston. This was the first time my mom, sister, and myself had ever attempted such a trip alone. We have with our aunt before, but never just us three. I was assigned the job of "getting us there", by being familiar with the map and keeping us on track. I did a pretty good job. I learned my way around quickly, and gave my mom directions around the place everywhere we went. Our yahoo map was inaccurate, and led us to the other side of the island. But don't worry, we found our hotel! We stayed at Moody Gardens. It was beautiful!

We had so much fun in those short three days. We really bonded. We were independent from men! After we already booked our hotel room, we found out that it was supposed to be raining all weekend there. There was a bit of clouds in the morning, but for the most part- totally SUNNY! -with a few passing clouds. I got a tan! We were very fortunate-i mean, whats a beach with no sun?
We found ourselves laughing most of the trip. We ate sonic everyday. mmm i love their hot dogs and ocean water! We spent our only FULL day there at the pool and going to the beach. The water was warm. That night i went to Joe's Crab Shack, where they made me run around the restaurant on a broom stick chasing a man yelling "pow pow!" with a gun gesture on my hand for my birthday. Talk about embarrassing!

When we went to the gift surf shop, i bought a necklace and a baby shark in a jar. It had preservatives in the water, so it doesn't decompose. Its pretty cool, Ive always wanted a Shark! =P

We spent our drive in our big red truck rolling down the windows with the wind in our hair singing to the radio blasting. Now when we hear those songs, i remember those amazing times in Galveston with the girls.

Candice, I'm so glad you got your own blog! How fun it will be to share your happy times. We can daily check each other's posts and have fun with it. Your pictures are fabulous and it looks like the three of you had a ball. It reminds me of the fun time I had with both my daughters in Cancun.I even quoted you on that trip: "It's not dark anymore." Ask your aunts what that means! Love you!

That is so cool. I'm so glad you had a good time. Girls weekends are the best. men! who needs them? Well, I needed Brian 3 times, to give me my 3 babies, that's about it...oh, yea every 2 weeks he gets a pay check so I guess I do need him.

Men, gotta love them!

Such beach beauties!

I'm sure you are talking about the Sonic where I took you and Camryn...ah, I miss Texas and seeing you two more than just Christmas!

Memaw is referring to the morning in Cancun when Dee and I came in from "dancing" at sunrise...we had been out all night, being good girls. But don't you and Camryn do that until you are at least 18 and 22 like we were!

Glad you three had fun! Can't wait to have a girls' trip with Juliet!
